My fellow Americans, my fellow MAGA patriots—the internet is abuzz tonight.
Donald Trump said something that lit a fire under a lot of good people. His words were these: “Without us, without the United States, there would be no Israel. Without me, there would be no Israel.” And another time: “If there wasn’t me, there would be no Israel right now.”
And oh, how the dear Christian people clutched their pearls. “If it wasn’t for God, there would be no Israel!” they cried. And you know what? They’re right. That is true.
But here’s what they forgot, friends. Two things can be true at the same time.
So tonight I have a little test. A test for everyone out there with a knee-jerk reaction to what the President said.
Question one: Would Israel exist today were it not for King David?
I’ll give you three seconds. Three… two… one.
Bingo. You’re right. There would be no Israel today were it not for King David. A little shepherd boy, armed with nothing but a sling, took Goliath down—and saved Israel.
Now, we all know God did it. But here’s the problem nobody wants to sit with: Yahweh sits on high. He does not sit on earth. He’s enthroned in the heavens—not in Jerusalem, not on the plains of Moab. So when Yahweh wants to do something in the earth, what does He go looking for?
You guessed it. A man.
His own Word says it—He does nothing on the earth without first searching for a man. He always uses a man. Always.
So whether you like the crassness of how he said it or not, Donald Trump spoke the truth. Yahweh raised up a man named Donald John Trump, and without that man, there would be no Israel today. Because if you’d had Scamala Harris in that chair, Israel might well be at the bottom of the ocean right now.
One man saved Israel.
I know, I know—you don’t like that word, saved. But it’s used all through your Bible, beloved. Yahweh raised up King Cyrus to save Israel. He raised up Jeroboam so the name of Israel would not be blotted out from under heaven. Jeroboam saved Israel. David saved Israel. Donald saved Israel. Deal with it. It’s truth.
Whether you like how it was spoken is irrelevant. Truth is truth.
Would there be an Israel today if Moses had not obeyed Yahweh? No. There would not. So yes—in that sense, Donald Trump single-handedly saved Israel.
Let me put it plain. If I see a child drowning in the river, and I dive in and pull that baby out, and I climb up the bank and say, “Without me, that child wouldn’t be alive”—well, we know God did it. That goes without saying. Where I come from we’ve got an old saying: “What’s understood need not be explained.” We all understand God saved that drowning child. But we also understand that God didn’t leave heaven to do the swimming. He found a man.
So when are we going to stop with the knee-jerk reactions and go find ourselves a Bible teacher who’ll help us understand that God never moves on this earth without a man?
Moses saved Israel. David saved Israel. Cyrus saved Israel. Donald saved Israel.
He spoke the truth. That’s all. He absolutely spoke the truth.
Thank you for reading. You may want to share the truth—it would help a lot of people.
