“When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian…” — Hosea 5:13
Folks, sit down for this one.
On Wednesday, in the French city of Strasbourg, the most powerful woman in Europe looked across a packed parliament chamber at the Prime Minister of Canada and asked him to come home with her.
I am not exaggerating. I am barely paraphrasing.
🇨🇦 WHAT HAPPENED IN STRASBOURG
September 16, 2026. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, is delivering her annual State of the Union address. Her guest of honor in the chamber is Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Then she leaves her prepared script. The line was not in the printed remarks handed to reporters. She says she wants to open the door for Canada to become the first “associate member” of the European Union.
Standing ovation. Kisses on both cheeks. Cameras everywhere.
The next morning Carney takes that same podium and tells the Europeans, “We are not fair-weather allies.” He calls it “the start of a road” and promises debates and a vote in the Canadian Parliament.
That night, fresh off a rally in North Carolina, President Trump answered. He called the idea “laughable.” Then he said that if he decides it is “a hostile act,” he will hit Europe with “very serious tariffs” or stop trading with them on many things.
Let that land for a moment.
The President of the United States is threatening economic war because Canada is packing a suitcase.
🧳 “IT’S ONLY ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP, TOTO”
Oh, I hear the fine print crowd already.
“Associate member” is a category that does not yet exist in any EU treaty. All 27 capitals would have to agree, and a few of them are reportedly furious nobody asked them first. Carney says he does not want the full European single market.
All true. Every word.
And every marriage in history started with a first date.
This was the first date, folks, and they held it on live television. Now look at what was already in the house before the flowers arrived:
-
Canada is the only non-European nation on the planet admitted into Europe’s 150-billion-euro joint weapons-buying fund. That agreement took force on August 1.
-
Roughly 72 percent of everything Canada exported last year went south to America. Trade talks with Washington collapsed this summer. Ottawa is shopping for a new family, and it is shopping with energy, critical minerals, and Arctic real estate in its pocket.
-
Back in June, the President of Finland said it right out loud: wouldn’t it be lovely if Canada became the 28th state of the European Union instead of the 51st state of the United States? He named Britain as a candidate in the very same breath.
-
And Britain’s brand-new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, spent Wednesday evening at a soccer match with Carney, talking about tying both their nations closer to Europe on trade and defense.
Canada. Britain. Both looking east across the water at the same moment.
Does that pairing ring a bell?
📖 TWO BROTHERS
For more than a decade we have taught you who these nations are in your Bible.
Britain and her company of nations, Canada among them, are Ephraim.
The United States, the great single nation, is Manasseh.
Two sons of Joseph. Brothers who inherited the birthright blessing together, won two world wars together, and ran the world together for a century.
Now read what Isaiah said would happen at the end:
“Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah.” — Isaiah 9:21
Brother against brother first. Then both of them against Judah. Watch that order, because it is the exact order of the headlines.
And where does Ephraim fly when his own brother wounds him?
“Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.” — Hosea 7:11
“For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.” — Hosea 8:9
“…they do make a covenant with the Assyrians…” — Hosea 12:1
A covenant with the Assyrians.
Folks, they are drafting it right now. They just have not picked a name for it yet.
🇩🇪 AND WHO IS ASSYRIA?
We have told you for over a decade.
Germany.
Here is the detail your evening news skipped entirely. The woman who extended that invitation, Ursula von der Leyen, is a German. Before she ran Europe, she ran the German Ministry of Defense.
A German stood in a European parliament and invited Ephraim in. You cannot make this up, and I did not have to.
Now look at what Berlin has been doing while America argued about everything else:
-
April 22, 2026. Germany publishes the first standalone military strategy in the history of the Bundeswehr. The title: “Responsibility for Europe.” The goal, in their own words: the strongest conventional army in Europe by 2039. Troop strength rising from 185,000 to 260,000.
-
German defense spending is projected to hit 162 billion euros by 2029, on a path to pass Britain and France combined.
-
March 2, 2026. Berlin and Paris create a joint nuclear steering group. July 17. Chancellor Merz announces German forces will take part in a French nuclear exercise this year. First time ever. President Macron says Germany will play a “vanguard role” in Europe’s deterrence.
-
And France itself? France votes next spring with Marine Le Pen out in front. If Paris turns inward, there is exactly one nation left in Europe with the money, the factories, and now the army to lead.
Eighty years ago the whole world swore this would never be permitted again. Today the world is begging for it.
“O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.” — Isaiah 10:5
🗳️ AND NOW BERLIN WANTS THE VETO DEAD
Remember that fine print? “All 27 capitals must agree.”
Folks, that rule has a name. It is called unanimity, and it is the last thing standing between Germany and the steering wheel of Europe. On foreign policy and security, any single nation, even tiny Malta or Luxembourg, can say no and stop the whole continent cold.
Germany has declared war on it. In the open. With dates.
-
April 4, 2026. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul says Europe must abolish unanimity in foreign and security policy before the end of this legislative term so the EU can finally be, in his words, “truly grown-up.”
-
Also April. Viktor Orbán, the man who swung that veto like a club for sixteen years, is voted out in Hungary. Within hours Ursula von der Leyen says Europe should “use this momentum” to move to majority voting. The loudest defender of the veto falls, and the German at the top of Europe reaches for the rule the same week.
-
May 6. Wadephul, in a keynote in Berlin, says it without blushing: “Under our leadership, twelve member states have already come together to bring about this change.” Then the line you need to underline: if all 27 cannot move together, a smaller group of countries should take the lead instead.
-
September 1. Eleven governments, Germany and France at the front, put it in writing in a joint letter to the EU’s foreign policy chief.
Now here is what nobody on television will explain to you. What replaces the veto?
“Qualified majority.” Fifteen of the 27 nations, representing 65 percent of Europe’s population.
Population, folks.
And who has the biggest population in the European Union, by a country mile?
Germany.
Kill the veto and power in Europe stops being one nation, one voice. It becomes weighted by size. The small kings hand in their “no,” and the largest nation on the continent walks away holding the heaviest vote in the room. They are calling it efficiency. Your Bible calls it something else:
“These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” — Revelation 17:13
One mind. Not twenty-seven vetoes. One mind.
And that “smaller group that takes the lead” when the rest cannot keep up? We have taught you for years that this sprawling, quarreling union of 27 would be pared down to a hard core of ten. The German Foreign Minister just described the mechanism from a podium in Berlin.
Yes, I know the catch. It takes unanimity to end unanimity, and the small nations are clinging to that veto with both hands. For now. Watch how fast a war on the doorstep, an energy crisis, and an American president threatening tariffs can change a small nation’s mind.
Ephraim thinks he has found a doctor. Read Hosea 5:13 to the end: “yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.”
The arms Canada and Britain are running toward today are the arms that close on them tomorrow.
🧾 WE PUT THIS IN WRITING FIFTEEN MONTHS AGO
On June 11, 2025, I published an article on this Substack called TRUMP VS. THE NATIONS. In it I told you Donald Trump was a divine disruptor, and that without even knowing it he was triggering all five end-time power blocs named in prophecy.
I wrote about “whispers of nuclear independence” in Europe and “a growing cry for a European strongman.”
They are not whispering anymore.
👉 Go read it for yourself: TRUMP VS. THE NATIONS (June 11, 2025)
Read it with today’s newspaper open beside it. Then come back and look at the scorecard.
📊 THE FIVE BLOCS, FIFTEEN MONTHS LATER
1️⃣ The United States of Europe. Trump’s push for Greenland in January welded Europe together against Washington. Germany is rearming, partnering into nuclear deterrence, and now reaching across the Atlantic to gather in the Commonwealth.
2️⃣ The Kings of the East. August 31, Bishkek: Xi, Putin, Modi, and the president of Iran at one table. India, once counted as Washington’s friend, was pushed into that room by tariffs.
3️⃣ The Mart of Nations. January 17: Europe signs the Mercosur pact, a 700-million-person trading zone, live since May 1. January 27: Europe and India seal what von der Leyen called “the mother of all deals.” September 12–13: BRICS gathers in New Delhi with Iran, Egypt, the UAE, and Indonesia seated. The world is wiring a marketplace that routes around Manasseh.
4️⃣ The Psalm 83 Confederation. August 7, in Mecca of all places: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and nuclear-armed Pakistan sign a mutual defense pact. An attack on one is an attack on all. Eleven days later Israeli jets hit a Syrian airbase over reported Turkish movements. The Council on Foreign Relations said it flat: the American-led order in the Middle East is over. “They have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee” (Psalm 83:5).
5️⃣ The King of the South. Here I owe you straight talk, because I will always give it to you. In that June article I warned that Trump was softening toward Iran. Ten days after I hit publish, American bombers struck Iran’s nuclear sites. On February 28 of this year came Operation Epic Fury, and Supreme Leader Khamenei was killed. The deal talk died. But the sentence that mattered held up: “Iran has not changed.” The war is past its 200th day. Tehran shut the Strait of Hormuz, fired on Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain, and seated another Khamenei. Daniel said the King of the South would push. He is pushing on the oil jugular of the world, and an energy-starved Europe is answering with Canadian gas, Canadian minerals, and a bigger German army.
Do you see it now?
Every bloc is feeding every other bloc.
The push in the South drives Europe to arm. The tariffs in the West drive Ephraim to Assyria. The isolation of Manasseh builds the Mart of Nations. One presidency. Five alignments. All moving at once.
🕯️ WHAT THIS MEANS
Donald Trump is not the villain of this story, and he is not the savior of it.
He is the instrument.
“He changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings…” — Daniel 2:21
YAHWEH is rearranging the entire board inside a single presidential term, and He is doing it in plain sight, on the front page, for anyone with a Bible open.
Ephraim is turning from Manasseh.
Assyria is rising to lead, and sharpening the knife for the veto.
The confederacy is signed.
The South is pushing.
Oh, line it all up, YAHWEH.
WATCH GERMANY.
And Now You Know… THE BEST of the Story.
📚 START WHERE IT STARTED
